Professional History
Osvaldo began as a programmer analyst in the mid-1990s in the banking industry at the Federal Bank in Argentina. He then pursued a career as a project manager at BBVA Consolidar, a retirement & insurance company. By the mid-2000s, after earning his MBA, he joined as Head of Information Systems at Servicios Financieros Bank, Carrefour Group Argentina. He was promoted into the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) role for the parent company, Carrefour Group Argentina. In 2020, he earned a Cybersecurity Management and Strategy Diploma.
Throughout the Decades
Mr. Godoy has InfoSec experience within several industries, both in BFSI (banking, financial, services & insurance) and retail organizations, where he was charged with controlling information assets, event monitoring, audits, training plans, updating industry manuals with policies and procedures, analysis and roll out of solutions in compliance with internal, external and Central Bank audits, monitoring tasks performed by the Infrastructure, Communications and Development teams, maintaining compliance with supplier contingency plans, updating and maintaining IT asset risk matrixes, BIA (Business Impact Analysis), DRP (Disaster Recovery Plan), and preparation of Gap Analysis of international standards such as PCI DSS and GDPR.
Osvaldo Godoy participated in industry round tables and webinars throughout 2019 and 2020 such as ‘Cybersecurity in E-commerce and the ‘#CiberCuidadosEnCasa’.

Mr. Godoy now leads BlueKatana’s Compliance & Security Advisory Practice, where his experience-based approach and ongoing training allows him to collaborate with different companies with our CISO as a Service approach. He improves and secures the organization’s processes safely and efficiently. ‘Cybersecurity has to be an ally in the business to provide added value, and never become an obstacle.’
